Our NRFSP® Certified Professional Food Manager™ Exams are approved and accepted by either agency for Food Manager Certification. The information here should help you decide which regulations apply to your business.
As required by Georgia Department of Human Resources (DHR) Public Health Food Service chapter 290-5-14.03 food code. With in two years of the implementation date of this Chapter, each existing food service establishment shall have in it's employ a Certified Food Safety Manager (CFSM). Facilities permitted after the implementation date of this Chapter shall be immediately subject to the requirements here in.
Certification Requirements: Each food service establishments shall have as owner or at least one food service manager on staff, designed for that one establishment only, who has successfully completed a food safety training program approved by the Department and passed a professionally validated CFSM examination that has been accredited by the Conference for Food Protection.
Georgia Department of Agriculture general rules chapter 40-7-1 General Rules Demonstration of Knowledge being a certified Food protection manager who has shown proficiency of the required information through passing a test that is of an Accredited Program.
